Pay Attention, Be Aware and Be Ready

            Who hasn't read and heard about the Boston Marathon bombing recently? Right on America's streets we have a terrorist attack, by Muslims. Of course the White House wanted to downplay that they were Muslim's but in the end it came out. The result was ugly. Then in England, the British experience an actual beheading of a soldier on a city street, by a Muslim wielding a machete. Then we have a French soldier stabbed in the throat on a city street. You're right, a Muslim.

            At the same time we find that the Obama Administration has cut the Homeland Security budget for domestic bombing prevention by 45%. The President in a speech last week regarding the War on Terror essentially said it was over. He said we wouldn't be responding to 'tactics' anymore. Is he really living in the same world as the rest of us? Makes you wonder.

            But we don't want to 'wonder' too long. Our lives and those of our families and friends are at stake. You may have heard of the story of the frog and the scorpion. They're both standing by the river and the frog is about to hop in and swim across the river when the scorpion says to him, "How about letting me hop on your back and ride across?" The frog says, "No way, you'll bite me and I'll drown".

            The scorpion says, "With your frog brain you're not thinking. If I bite you we'll both drown". The frog thinks about it and says okay. The scorpion jumps on the frogs back and starts swimming across the river and lo and behold, he bites the frog and they start going down when the frog says, "Why did you do that?" And with a smile the scorpion says, "Because I am a scorpion." They went down together.

            Don't let that be you. The late Jim Rohn used to say, "It is not important why someone has sold out to evil, it is only important who. When you find that out cut them out of your lives".  There is a lot of evil going around these days. Why our leaders have an aversion to respond to it is beyond me, but, they don't.

            So that leaves us to make choices. Choose to pay attention, especially everyone living in cities and metropolitan areas of our country. Be aware, especially if you're attending events, large or small. Be ready, be ready for strange and terrible things to happen in our country. You have only seen the tip of an ugly spear coming our way.
