Character in Action in America

In my last post the quote I shared taught us about the type of character required to keep America a free democracy. Democracy is requires its citizens and its leaders to be of high moral character to work. Its not working. We have problems across America with a citizenship thats turned its back on God and with leaders who’ve sold out.

In recent weeks we’ve seen the character of our President in full display for all to see. If you’re looking, a dose of reality that many have seen since he sprung on the political scene in 2007. You know its bad when ABC news is beginning to report on it and liberal master Jon Stewart of the Daily Show is taking on the President. Lets look at just three disturbing signs of the new America led by Barack Hussein Obama.

1. Benghazi: Amazingly I have well meaning, intelligent friends who refuse to acknowledge that leaving our embassy unprotected inside a terrorist nation is a problem. What’s more disturbing is our President, the same one who claims full responsibility for single handedly taking down Osama Bin Laden, says its no big deal we lost a US Ambassador and three others needlessly while his White House sanitizes the reports to not include the word ‘terrorism’. If you follow this story at all, is this leadership with character?
2. IRS Targets Conservative Groups: On this story many liberal friends refuse to comment. But here we have the most feared of America’s government organizations willfully targeting groups who might in some way be opposed to our dear President. Seems he didn’t know a thing about it. Much worse than President Richard Nixon ordering a break-in at Democratic Headquarters in the Watergate. The media drummed him out of office, rightfully I might add, but where are they when it comes to Obamunisms shenanigans? Is this a man of character?
3. DOJ seizes telephone records of the Associated Press: While this story is just breaking our President is proclaiming his support of World Free Media Day and we’re finding out the Department of Justice, under the characterless leadership of Attorney General Eric Holder, is trying to find out who leaked information negative to the White House. Does this sound like America? Are theses people men and women of character?

What we need to realize is that this is life in the new America. At the present time the only member of Congress that is apparent in the media who stands with character is Rand Paul. Our President is devoid of character and so is nearly everyone serving in Congress. Unfortunately, that doesn’t look like its changing anytime soon.

I am only stepping out on the limb one step by saying nothing will come from any of this regarding Obama. Why? Because Congress has to do something and its not in there best interest to do so. They’d lose too much. And all the people depending on the perceived support of Obama’s new world would revolt. So where does that leave the growing minority I write to? It leaves us preparing and learning to cope in a new America we don’t care for.

What can we do? Admit where we are and get involved in voting out nearly every member of Congress now serving.
