Some Issues With the Census Taking?

Here in our part of Montana we haven't even received our Census forms but I guess in other areas it is moving along. My wife and I went into the Courthouse to ask where we might get forms for the Census and were told they would 'be delivered' because we technically lived on a reservation. Which is true. Apparently there will be some stimulus jobs reported here in Montana.

However a day later I get an email from a friend out east passing along the experience that was shared with him of the 'return of the census takers'. I sought and received permission to share so here it goes in his words from Gary to his friend Greg:

Greg,

You'll like this one. We sent in our Census form a while back with most of the questions answered. We did not volunteer answers regarding race, ownership of home, etc., but satisfied the constitutionally required information.

Two weeks ago a kid from the Census knocks on our door to get us to complete omitted info. I told him that we sent the form and it contained all of the required data. He was very persistant telling me that it is required by law. I wasn't going to get into an argument with this guy so I told to him to please leave our property. He still persisted and said that it is statical information that the government needs. I told him the government doesn't need statistics. This kid was rude. He finally left.

A week later my neighbor called to tell us the census guy was asking her to give information about us! Needless to say she did not cooperate, and called us right away.

My wife called the local census office to complain about the illegal methods. The census guy was also rude and intimated that our neighbor was lying!

This is one scary administration. In my 57 years I have never experienced anything like this.

Me again, now if any of you have similar stories I'd love to hear them. Strange changes taking place in our once great country ... strange indeed.
