I just returned from DC and that 22nd Annual Rolling Thunder motorcycle ride that brings over a quarter of a million people to the nations capital to honor our nations warriors, the missing and POW's. There were nearly 500,000 riders in the parade on Sunday and I'll bet you didnt even hear about it on the news. I'll be writing more about it when I get caught up (and rested up) but I'll post a couple pictures - its a spectacle of patriotism totally ignored by our nations media.
Its maybe a four or five mile route from the staging area at the Pentagon across the Roosevelt Bridge and down Constitution Avenue to the Capital Building and up the other side to the Wall. It is lined with people of all shapes, sizes, nationalities, races, ages and gender. They're all waving flags but being a Vietnam Vet none touched me more than the Vietnamese lady in her fifties I guess, a child I am sure as the war ended, standing in the street, tears streaming down her face, waving an American flag and mouthing the words 'thank you' to each bike passing.
Its quite an event. Its unforgettable. It takes a few days to get over the emotions. And in the last four years I've been able to attend, not one, not one single politician has shown their face at this event. I guess their lack of words speaks volumes.

Hi Kug, I saw this on FOX. K, what a sight to see. As far as the politicians go, they are FUBAR.

Sorry it took me so long to answer. Got this kidney stone thing going again so barely back in the saddle.
We live in scary times and we all have to do something.
Thanks
