This is what kept Dave up this week. I suggest you take the time to watch the videos. And its time to forget who is saying it if they bother you. Just listen to the content and ask yourself if they're right? Very thought provoking ...
" Ed,
Here is the rant I mentioned ... you may find some of this interesting:
Caution: Liberals may not like this ... and others too ... it is a rant, but you've been warned :-)
I'm laid off this week and looking at some more layoff time later in the summer. So when a buddy sent me the following link I took the time to look at it. I kind of like this Beck guy ... a media person telling the truth. Something you do not get out of the mainstream media.

So I looked at some more videos ... I'm gonna have to find him on cable. What pisses me off is that we have guys waiting to do a mod on their bike and we give millions to assholes who did a crappy job at AIG ... and check out how Obama is cutting back:

And to wrap up is this video of our slick tongued president when he is left on his own:

Man, I gotta go back to work. But first I'm gonna send emails to my representative and senators telling them that I do not support the AIG bail out or any other bail outs. Of course Rolland Burris is being asked to step down (he lied about discussions to buy Obama's senate seat after all) ... he came out of the same Chicago political machine as Obama. I will ask him to do the honorable thing and resign. Damn, I should move out of Illinois to another state.
If you are still reading, I encourage you to email your representative and senators about anything that bugs you. Go to the following link and type in your zip code to find their contact information: http://whoismyrepresentative.com/
Sorry for the rant ... but I warned you.
Ride Safe and Ride Often,
Dave"
Ed back again. We need to click on that link and let our illustrious leaders know exactly how we feel about their so called leadership. I was reading last night in the hotel and was moved by this quote from C.S. Lewis,
"The kind of people we are is more important than what we can do to improve the world; indeed, being the kind of people we could and should be is the best, and sometimes the only, way to improve the world."
Let's start a movement to 'be' the people we were meant to be, true Americans who will not stand for what is happening to us. Write your Senator and Congressman today. And for those of you in Connecticut or who know someone there ... make a commitment now to start with voting out Senator Christopher Dodd ... he is not our kind of American.
