Driving to Illinois and just stopped in Laramie, WY - spent two nights here in December and it was worse than tonight. It was -20 then and about 15 above right now with snow and ice. Thirty mile truck back up. So good day, not a lot of news from the Puzzle Palace out east.
I did hear though that the CEO at Goldman Sachs took a pay cut this year ... poor man is down to $42.9 million for 2008. And why not, Goldman only lost $2.29 billion (with a B) in the last quarter of last year.
Makes sense in these troubled times I guess. Not sure where our illustrious President was on this one, I mean kick Waggoner out of GM and rave about the bonuses at AIG but lacking some consistancy here.
